One-Act Festival Features Student Directors, Performers January 27 & 28
Jan. 21, 2022 -- The 9th Annual One-Act Festival features short plays directed and performed by Heights High School students. The One-Act Festival will be held on Thursday, January 27, and Friday, January 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Heights High School's Main Auditorium. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for open seating. No reservations are required.

Twenty-one students eagerly await the main stage to be converted into a black box theater where the audience can sit on stage and gain a closer look into the performance. The audience can expect to see three outstanding acts that highlight student talent, enthusiasm, and theatrical ability. 

The acts presented this year are:
New York Actor - directed by Heights senior, Isabella Bradley

Take a fun look at actors by actors and all the strange ins and outs of life in the theater.


Variations on the Death of Trotsky - directed by Heights senior, Cora Young

A surreal comedy that imagines txiled Bolshevik revolutionary Leon Trotsky meets his death in a number of different ways. If it sounds odd, it is with good reason, but it's a genuine laugh.


10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse - Directed by Drama Club Advisor, David Jurns

A comedy presents that 10 possible scenarios that survivors may face during the titular zombie apocalypse with helpful tips and tricks for ensuring survival.
