Jan. 12, 2022 -- Career Technical Education (CTE) offers a strong academic and technical education to prepare students for both college and career. Heights Career Tech offers courses through a five-district consortium, which includes Bedford, Cleveland Heights, Maple Heights, Shaker Heights, and Warrensville Heights high schools.
In preparation for
this year’s application period, students in the two-year Digital Video Production (DVP) program created promotional videos to give interested students a glimpse into the programs hosted at Heights High:
Audio Engineering,
PLTW/Engineering,
Cosmetology,
Marketing,
Sports Medicine & Exercise Science,
Clinical Health,
Pharmacy Tech,
Auto Tech, and
Digital Video Production. The nearly two-month video project required students to develop questions, film and conduct interviews, and edit video clips. The production incorporated real life experiences for students such as problem-solving and meeting deadlines. The DVP program is taught by Cynthia Booker.
