Jan. 23, 2023 -- The 11th Annual One-Act Festival features short plays directed and performed by Cleveland Heights High School students. The One-Act Festival will be held on Thursday, January 26, and Friday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Heights High School’s Main Auditorium. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for open seating. No reservations are required.
20 students eagerly await the main stage to be converted into a black box theater where the audience can sit on stage and gain a closer look into the performance. THe audience can expect to see three outstanding acts that highlight student talent, enthusiasm, and theatrical ability.

The Cure - directed by Heights senior, Mira Whitaker-Kanner
Adapted from a short story by Anton Chekov, this play tells the story of a beleaguered head of a Yiddish acting company trying to put his show on. The only problem is that his star actor is impossibly drunk.
