21st Century Adventure Camp Takes Oxford HUB to EDWINS
July 7, 2022 -- As part of the “Adventures with Food” week at the CH-UH 21st Century Adventure Camp, Oxford HUB students had a unique opportunity to dine at EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute in Cleveland, Ohio and choose from a menu of fine French cuisine.Students participated in a taste-testing activity in which they each had the opportunity to sample frog legs, escargot, various soups and locally grown greens. The food that was prepared was of the highest quality and flavor, prepared with precision and presented in an artful manner.

Oxford HUB students had the chance to evaluate foods based on many factors such as taste, smell, appearance, personal preference and willingness to try again. 21st Century Camp Coordinator Erin Hill believes that “tasting new flavors can open up a world of experiences and adventures for our Oxford HUB students. Also, our students will practice their speaking skills and sentence writing in order to describe the flavors and journal their Edwins experience.”

“Dining at Edwins was an experience that our students will never forget,” said Lynne Gaines, 21st Century Summer Adventure Camp Teacher “I want to thank Edwins for welcoming our group, and for all of the incredible work they do for the Cleveland community!”
