Heights Celebrates Tiger Week

Apr. 14, 2025 -- Heights Athletic Boosters is excited to launch its first ever Tiger Week, eight consecutive days of home games and competitions featuring all seven of Heights High’s spring sports.

District students and their families are invited to attend one or all events between Wednesday, April 16th and Wednesday, April 23rd, from catching a boys’ tennis match at Cain Park to cheering on the girls’ lacrosse team in the main stadium.

The brainchild of Booster trustees Sharilee Walker and Lisa West, who co-chair the Youth Outreach Committee, Tiger Week is a great way to introduce younger kids and their families to the many athletic opportunities they’ll have in high school.

Students should come wearing their Tiger Nation gear to show their district pride. All elementary and middle school students will be admitted to the boys’ volleyball and boys’ and girls’ lacrosse games for free (the other sports don’t charge admission). Some teams may have concessions or swag for sale or may plan special activities for younger children such as running the bases after the baseball or softball games.

Follow Heights Athletic Boosters on Facebook or Instagram for updates and be sure to check the district’s athletic site at www.heightstigers.org for weather cancellations. And check out the Youth Sports Info page on Heights Athletic Boosters’ website for links to summer teams, camps and lessons.

Cross your fingers for good weather and come cheer on your favorite Tigers!
