Engineering Students Design Rube Goldberg Machines

Sep. 22, 2020 -- Students in Greg Nachman’s Digital Engineering classes at Heights High each had to perform a simple task, like turning a page in a book, closing a laptop screen or turning off a light switch. But it was harder than it sounds.

Heights High Sees Increase in Number of Students Enrolled in AP Classes

Sep. 21, 2020 -- When CH-UH approved its five-year Strategic Plan in 2015, Goal #2 stated that “An excellent education is provided to each student in every district building and classroom.” It took the concerted effort of administrators, teachers, students and families to get to the point where enrollment in AP classes  has increased from 182 students in 2015 to 343 in 2019.

Heights High Senior Nominated LEL Player of the Week

Sep. 18, 2020 -- It’s been quite a week for Heights High senior Zelda Thayer Hansen. She will be featured tonight on 850 ESPN Cleveland’s Senior Spotlight for her accomplishments in the classroom and as the starting goalie and co-captain of the Girls Soccer team. She is also one of three area athletes in the running for Lake Erie League Player of the Week.

Summer Reading Challenge Winners Read Over 50 Books

Sep. 16, 2020 -- The CHUH Summer Reading Challenge has come to an end. Students from Kindergarten to high school participated in this event and were eager to share their recommendations for specific titles. Thanks to the Heights Schools Foundation, eleven participants received Tiger swag.

Free Meals Now Available to All Children; Weekend Meals Added

Sept. 15, 2020 -- Beginning immediately, the District is serving free meals to all children - not only CH-UH students - through December 31, 2020. Weekend meals will also be provided.
