Staff Complete Principal Licensure Program at CSU

Dec. 16, 2016 -- Two CH-UH educators recently completed Cleveland State University's Inspired Leaders Principal Licensure Program. The graduates delivered their capstone presentations at a celebration event December 3, and the district's director of student services delivered the keynote address.

Teresa Taylor-Ware, Title I literacy lead at Noble, and Desiree Caliguire-Maier, the district's EL liaison and EL and social studies instructor, completed the program at the CSU Center for Educational Leadership. For her capstone presentation, Taylor-Ware explained the ways in which expectations for student behavior are defined and encouraged through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, or PBIS. Caliguire-Maier delivered a comprehensive plan for English Learners in the district that is aligned with the five-year strategic plan

The graduating class elected Director of Student Services Dr. Jeff Johnston to be the keynote speaker.

"Dr. Johnston's speech was phenomenal, focusing on establishing a vision, finding honest, hard working and skilled individuals and building a culture of collaboration," Caliguire-Maier remarked.
