Feb. 26, 2016 -- Despite the cold and snow, fourth graders from Fairfax Elementary School extended their knowledge of music theory with a field trip to Severance Hall in Cleveland on Thursday, Feb. 25.

Fairfax students learned more about tempo, meter, and rhythm together with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders from across the city. Hundreds of students gathered at the beautiful Severance Hall in Cleveland, where the Cleveland Orchestra put on an amazing show, demonstrating how each of these key elements in music theory work through the music of some of the world’s most famous classical composers.
