MetroHealth Offers Medical Support For District Families

Mar. 25, 2020 -- As a District partner, MetroHealth is offering prescription deliveries, telehealth visits and more for CH-UH families during the COVID-19 outbreak.

If you have a child or other family member who is quarantined due to COVID-19 diagnosis or exposure and you are struggling to obtain essential supplies or resources, MetroHealth can assist. Contact Nancy Peppler, the District's Supervisor of Community and School Partnerships, at [email protected]
 
MetroHealth In-School Clinic & How to Enroll  
 
During the regular academic year, MetroHealth offers an in-school clinic at Heights High, allowing high school students in-person access to MetroHealth medical professionals right at school. The program was designed to help eliminate barriers to receiving health care.
 
With parent/guardian consent, students can receive routine checkups, immunizations, sports physicals and screenings. The clinic provides referrals for additional services including behavioral health. Payments for individual services will be billed to the student's health insurance and MetroHealth staff will assist those without insurance in applying for coverage. There is no co-pay.
 
Although the clinic is unavailable during the COVID-19 school closure, we are encouraging families to enroll now in the program. If you would like to enroll your child (including eighth grade families who wish to enroll for next year), please fill out this form, then print, sign, and mail it to:

Note: If your high school student is already enrolled, they can remain in the program until graduation; there is no need to fill out another form.
