LAF: Pom Pom Hedgehogs

Have you met our little hedgehog in the Teen Room? Would you like to have a hedgehog of your very own? Join us to make a furry friend out of yarn and felt that you can take home! If we are lucky we might even have a visit from a special friend!
Art Challenges
Every Wednesday in April, 3:30 p.m. at the Noble Branch, 2800 Noble Road
What kind of robot, puppet, masterpiece can you make with a jar full of art supplies? Children in grades k-5 will flex their creative muscles with a new art challenge each week.
Movie Club
Fridays in April, 3 p.m. at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
Stop by on Friday afternoons to vote on a movie and watch while working on homework and studying. Ages 10 and up welcome!

Calling all Tweens! Join us as we express ourselves creatively by making comics, collages and sketches. Supplies will be available, but all are welcome to bring in personal photos, drawings and more to use in their individual zine creations. No experience necessary!
Soups of the World

Celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of our vibrant community by sampling delicious soups from several awesome culinary traditions. Ages 13-18.

Get a taste of this lovely little art form every day during National Poetry Month. The hope is that you will be both surprised and inspired!
Writing Workshop
Monday, April 16, 6 p.m. at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
The second installment of the Writing Workshop series will focus on improving academic writing skills. Students will learn to tighten their prose, structure a thesis statement, and learn test-taking essay strategies to help prepare them for high school or college writing.
