Dear Noble Families,
Yesterday we successfully completed the end of the 2016-2017 school year. I am so proud of our Noble Tigers for all their hard work and perseverance. We shared many happy memories this year, welcomed new students and families who quickly became new friends, learned and mastered exciting skills and concepts, and most importantly continued our love for learning. Following are some of the highlights of our awesome year:
Summer Choice Boards
This school year our Building Leadership Team (BLT) and Intervention Specialists attend a year long training on Universal Design. One component of the training involved providing students with multiple opportunities to show their learning via the use of choice boards. As part of our end of year grade level meetings each team (grades K-4) created choice boards for their students to complete over the summer. The boards are full of fun and educational activities that your students can complete alone and/or with your assistance. Completed boards are due the first day of school. Students who have completed their boards will receive their first A.V.I.D. certificate for advancing their education during the summer break.
Choice Boards were sent home with you student but you can also access them by clicking on the following respective link located below:

This school year Noble staff prepared to become the district’s first A.V.I.D. (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Elementary School. I along with Mrs. Buckner (Noble’s Counselor) and Mrs. Ware (Noble’s Title I Lead and Instructional Coach), and other district representatives attended the National A.V.I.D. Conference in Texas. We were all so excited to return to Noble with the wonderful ideas and planning strategies for the upcoming year. In June I, along with eight of our staff members representing grades kindergarten through fifth grades, will attend the A.V.I.D. Summer Institute Training in Florida. When we return we will share and implement the practices and strategies with our teammates to begin our first year of A.V.I.D.
Look for our first Noble A.V.I.D. Newsletter to be released August 2017. Information will be provided to learn more about the program and how you can partner with us as we build a strong foundation for your scholar to compete academically on a local, national, and global level.
Have a Wonderful and Relaxing Summer!

Rachael Coleman, M.Ed.
