Heights' Harris & McCracken Honored by Cleveland.com

Jaylen Harris on Senior Night

Jan. 18, 2017 -- Heights High football standouts Jaylen Harris and Kylen McCracken were recently honored as part of Cleveland.com's 2016 Football All-Stars.

Harris, a senior wide receiver who committed to play at Ohio State last week, was one of two receivers named to the first team. Harris finished the year with 53 catches for 820 yards and eight touchdowns despite being regularly double and triple-teamed by opposing defenses. He also finished with a 98% blocking percentage from his receiver spot.

McCracken, a junior offensive and defensive tackle, was named honorable mention on the defensive all-star team. McCracken finished with 18 tackles for loss, four sacks and six QB hurries to go with 21 solo tackles and 16 assisted tackles on the year. He also anchored Heights’ offensive line and finished the season with a 90% blocking efficiency.

Both Harris and McCracken were also named to the Northeast Lakes All-District Team this past fall.
