Feb. 15, 2019 -- Heights Middle School art teacher Jerome White will participate in an event on February 20 at the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library honoring award-winning illustrators.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Coretta Scott King Book Awards, the library is hosting a conversation with White and CSK Book Award Winner Floyd Cooper. Both artists will have their art for display and books for purchase. A signing reception will follow.
White wrote, illustrated and published Red Tail Dreamer, a story about a young boy in the 1940s who daydreams of becoming a pilot, hearing the roar of airplane engines above him day after day.
The Willoughby Hills branch is located at 35400 Chardon Road.
