Hello from the Roxboro Elementary staff in Cleveland Heights, Ohio! Roxboro Elementary is an IB WORLD SCHOOL having received authorization in the spring of 2014. IB World Schools have a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education – that we believe is important for our students.

Roxboro Elementary is one of seven elementary schools in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District. More than 200 students from diverse backgrounds attend Roxboro. Many Roxboro families have lived in this area for years and have had multiple generations of children attend our school.

The Roxboro community is rich in culture. Our students represent at least 20 different nationalities and some of our families are immigrants from different countries around the world. Roxboro engages students in multi-cultural experiences in the classroom, including learning activities with our sister school in Liberia.

Roxboro’s curriculum consists of integrated language arts, science, social studies and math lessons. The students participate in physical education, library, music, STEM, and art. The RoxARTS Committee’s Artists-in-Residence program has given Roxboro students many rich experiences in the arts over the years by helping integrate grade-level content skills with various performing and fine arts from artists in the area. Roxboro also provides its student Spanish instruction as its world language.
