Welcome Back Letter from Mr. Smith - Aug. 13, 2024

Dear Heights High Seniors and Families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope this letter finds you in good health, relaxed and rejuvenated for your final year at Cleveland Heights High School! You have conquered the last three years of high school with resiliency and a sense of perseverance that the staff and I admire tremendously!

We will continue to prepare you for college, career, and citizenship this year. Our goal is to provide you with experiences, exposure, expertise and to meet your expectations both inside and outside of the classroom. There are many responsibilities that come with being a “Senior” as the other students look to you for guidance and mentorship in taking the next steps. We are excited to support your efforts as we move toward graduation 2025. Your leadership and conduct will set the tone!

If you plan to drive to school, this year there is a Student Parking form you must complete. You will find this form in Mrs. Holland’s office (Main Office area). Students will receive a hanging Parking Placard that must be visible during the school day. There is a fee of $10 (cash only) for each semester. Parking will be available in Lot 34 on Cedar Road. Please see the map at this link for the location of the parking lot: Lot 34 parking location.  Door #4 will be accessible in the morning for students who are driving.

We would like to celebrate you and all of your accomplishments this year. It is mandatory that you submit all college acceptance letters and scholarship award letters to your guidance counselor as you receive them. We will document all of them and return the originals to you.

Senior Project will be returning this school year. More information about Senior Project will be shared as we begin the school year.

Ms. Tiesha McEwen, our College Readiness Guidance Counselor, will also be available to support students in their post-secondary planning. Ms. Michelle Phelps will lead the Career Readiness post-secondary efforts. The topics both will cover include:
