Student Wellness and Success Funds (SWSF) in CH-UH

Ohio school districts receive funds to support wraparound services for students. These funds are known as Student Wellness and Success Funds (SWSF). Districts must spend at least 50% of SWSF on physical or mental health services.

The CH-UH City School District received $429,174.11 in Student Wellness and Success Funds this biennium. District partners include MetroHealth and the Educational Service Center of Cuyahoga County. Funds support the Supervisor of Community and School Partnerships, the Family Engagement Specialist, and Community Learning Center staff at Noble and Oxford elementary schools.

The District provides physical and mental health services via the MetroHealth facility at Cleveland Heights High School (the Heights Wellness Center) as well as partnerships with Vision to Learn, Mobile Dentists and the Bellefaire SAY Program.

The District provides support to students district-wide through staffing of building social workers, school psychologists, and nurses.
