VIDEO: Canterbury Flash Mob & Mannequin Challenge
Nov. 28, 2016 -- Before Thanksgiving break, the Canterbury Creative Arts team assembled the school for what students thought would be an assembly to discuss attitude and behavior. Little did the students know, that in the midst of a speech given by the school's principal, Dr. Erica Wigton, their teachers would start dancing down the aisles of the gym and come together in a flash mob!
Students were ecstatic to see the staff come together and join in the dancing. Afterwards was a school-wide discussion on how we work hard as individuals but when we come together, we can do amazing things!
One of these things was participating in the Mannequin Challenge to challenge the other Tiger Nation elementary schools to come together as a school to promote a positive environment to learn and grow. Canterbury students and staff truly embrace what it means to work as a team.
