One of our district goals this year is to evaluate some of our current programs. Included in our list of programs under review is the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
Many outcomes can happen as a result of a review. A common misnomer of surveys is that they lead to the removal of programs. Please be advised that this is not the intended outcome of the survey. We simply want to gather information and assess the effectiveness of the program components and make recommendations accordingly.
Currently, all our elementary schools with the exception of Gearity and Boulevard (which are STEM schools) participate in the IB program. Roxboro Middle School is applying for authorization and Monticello is in the process of applying for IB.
The Educational Services team has constructed a survey that we are asking you to complete. Please feel free to complete this survey even if your child is not part of an IB program. We are soliciting information from the community, teachers, students, and parents.
