Roxboro and Monticello Middle Schools represented the CH-UH District in the Regional Science Olympiad at Case Western Reserve University on February 21. Roxboro’s A Team placed 8th in the event, earning the team a spot in the state tournament, to be held April 11 at The Ohio State University in Columbus. Monticello Middle School’s four teams of intrepid scientists competed among 25 of the best teams in the state, earning 19th place overall.
Science Olympiad's ever-changing line-up of events in all STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) disciplines exposes students to practicing scientists and career choices, and energizes classroom teachers with a dynamic content experience.
