15 Tigers Ink National Letters of Intent

Feb. 4, 2016 -- Wednesday was National Signing Day where thousands of high school seniors across the country let their communities know where they will attend college next year and play sports. A total of 15 Heights High senior student-athletes told Tiger Nation where they'd be attending next year.

From Hocking College near Columbus to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, athletes from football, boys Soccer and boys basketball were on-stage in the high school auditorium to announce their future plans.

Along with family and friends, others in attendance included Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon, Assistant Superintendent Felisha Gould and a number of classes who came to show their support for the hard work the signees have put forth over past four years.

Head football coach Mac Stephens, assistant boys soccer coach Pat Gleba and head boys basketball coach Jeremy Holmes spoke proudly about each athlete. The athletes then took turns saying their thanks, followed by the ceremonial "signing" took place along with a standing ovation from the audience.
