Feb. 7, 2017 -- A total of 13 Heights High School student-athletes signed their official college letters of intent at last week's National Signing Day ceremony held in the Wiley Auditorium.
February 1 was the day that high school seniors could officially sign with college or university athletic programs. Heights High regularly has many student-athletes who go on to play collegiately. This year, 13 football players and one boys soccer player signed on Feb. 1.
The group was highlighted by Jaylen Harris, who was one of the most sought-after football recruits in the country. Jaylen signed with Ohio State University on Wednesday and will suit up for his home state Buckeyes this fall.

Brandon Melnick was the lone soccer player to sign a letter of intent, choosing to play collegiately at Lake Erie College.
