Students with teachers

May 26, 2017 --  During the 2016 - 17 school year, teachers at Heights High gave students ROARS cards for displaying characteristics that are valued in Tiger Nation, being: Respectful, On Time, Accepting, Responsible and Safe.

Each student who earned a ROARS card received an after school snack and were entered into weekly drawings for T-shirts and other prizes.

At the end of the year, three students won the grand prizes in a final drawing.

Robyn Lynch won a smart TV. She received a ROARS card from math teacher Joyce Bukovac for being on time to class every day, asking for help when she needed it and offering to help others.

“This is a great surprise,” said Robyn. “I was just doing what I do, I never expected to win a prize!”

Devounte Miller-Casmon won Beats headphones. He received a ROARS card from criminal justice teacher Johnnie Lemons.

Jaylen Jones won a Chrome book laptop computer. She received a ROARS card from geometry teacher Liz Coffee.
