May 3, 2017 -- Middle school families are invited to come celebrate the end of another school year and a transition to the Wiley space at a picnic and potluck on Monday, May 15.

The picnic will be held at Forest Hills Park (North double picnic shelter) from 5-8 p.m. All families of rising sixth, seventh and eighth graders are welcome to attend. There will be a raffle, potluck picnic, and group cleanup. Parents must be present with their students.

All families should bring a dish to share, reusable dishware, cutlery, napkins and cup (a washing station will be provided) and a picnic blanket. Attendees are encouraged to bring a Frisbee, cornhole or other yard games.

The PTA will provide a main dish, trash bags, gloves and drinking water.

This is a ‘green’ picnic. The group will hold a litter pick up at 5 p.m. and keep waste to a minimum during the event. The PTA hopes to begin a tradition of sustainability for our families and district. The reusable plate initiative is in honor of the memory of Steven Kanner, a big supporter of the PTA and our public schools.
