Class of 2021 Earns $13.9 Million in Scholarship Awards

June 18, 2021 -- The 2021 Senior Recognition Awards program showcases the scholastic achievements and the community scholarships awarded to members of the class of 2021. The seniors are quite impressive. Heights High has a U.S. Presidential Scholar, a multitude of Advanced Placement Scholars, and the President's Award of Academic Excellence and Achievement.

For more than 50 years, a variety of Cleveland Heights-University Heights community partners such as alumni, families, businesses, and organizations have offered scholarships exclusively to Heights High School’s senior class. All seniors were invited in December 2020 to apply for the Heights Community scholarships. This year, the Heights Community Scholarship awarded a total of $103,300 to the seniors. Many of the scholarships are valued at $1,000. Several students applied to many of the scholarships and received an average of $5,000. One of our seniors earned the $10,000 Jon Lewis Award.

Many colleges reported merit and athletic scholarships offered to our seniors in the amount of 14 million dollars and growing. Congratulations to the recipients of our Heights Community Scholarship.
