Digital Video Students Produce Videos for Heights Career Tech

Jan. 12, 2022 -- Career Technical Education (CTE) offers a strong academic and technical education to prepare students for both college and career. Heights Career Tech offers courses through a five-district consortium, which includes Bedford, Cleveland Heights, Maple Heights, Shaker Heights, and Warrensville Heights high schools.

In preparation for this year’s application period, students in the two-year Digital Video Production (DVP) program created promotional videos to give interested students a glimpse into the programs hosted at Heights High: Audio Engineering, PLTW/Engineering, Cosmetology, Marketing, Sports Medicine & Exercise Science, Clinical Health, Pharmacy Tech, Auto Tech, and Digital Video Production. The nearly two-month video project required students to develop questions, film and conduct interviews, and edit video clips. The production incorporated real life experiences for students such as problem-solving and meeting deadlines. The DVP program is taught by Cynthia Booker.

The application window for students to apply for CTE programs is open until Friday, January 14, 2022. For more information, please visit the Heights Career Tech website.
