June 7, 2023 -- Mr. Jeffrey Porter, Heights CTE Automotive Technology Instructor, received the 2023 Excellence in Education Educator Award from the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio and State Support Team – Region 3.

For the past 44 years, the ESC and State Support Team have recognized students with special needs, peers, and educators with the annual Excellence in Education Awards. 

Porter was also recognized as the State Support Team 3 Franklin B. Walter Outstanding Educator. The Outstanding Educator Achievement Award honors educators who are the exemplars in designing instructional strategies and programs.
