THE MIDDLE SCHOOL SCHOLARS’ PROGRAM (MSSP)
MSSP is a pull-out program for 6th and 7th grade middle school students who have been identified as gifted in one or more areas as recognized by the state of Ohio. The program enables students to work with the Gifted Intervention Specialists in a variety of classes. MSSP classes include Find Out and FLEX (addressing the social emotional needs of our 6th and 7th grade MSSP students), Global Issues (which includes students participating in Model United Nations simulations), APEX (which includes students participating in Science Olympiad), Guided Independent Projects, Between the Lines, and Creative Thinking.

In addition to the previously mentioned requirements, the ODE requires that subjects chosen for research and study in Guided Independent Projects must be within the student’s area of gifted identification.
