The Fairfax PTA is a non-profit organization composed of families and staff of Fairfax Elementary. Our mission is to support our children, school, and each other in order to promote academic success and strengthen our school community.
Fairfax has a strong and active PTA which does much to support teaching and learning in the school. It serves as a communication link between parents and school staff and actively provides volunteer and financial support to the school. Fairfax was the first PTA in the District to fund a playground. Our annual community ice cream social is looked forward to by school and community alike. Volunteer parents can be seen everywhere in the school in support of a wide array of special programs. The bi-annual Cabaret and Talent Show, put on by the PTA, shows that parent involvement at Fairfax is as much fun as it is work.
What Does PTA Money Pay For?
Since the 2013-14 school year, the Fairfax PTA has averaged spending over $13,000/year in different projects and provided volunteers for many projects. This year our goal is set even higher. Please consider joining the PTA and giving whatever time you have to help us help our kids. Our PTA is strong, dedicated, innovative and energetic. Together we can move mountains!
