Deadline Extended for Heights Community Scholarship Applications

Jan. 10, 2022 -- The Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District's Community Scholarship Application deadline has been extended to Monday, January 31. Graduating seniors may apply to receive support in taking the next steps in furthering their education after Heights High.

Heights Seniors Win Greater Cleveland Scholastic Art + Writing Competition

Jan. 6, 2022 --  Cleveland Heights High School seniors participated in the Annual Greater Cleveland Scholastic Art + Writing Competition and Exhibition. Two seniors won awards and will move on to compete at the national level in New York City in the Spring. More +

Heights High Students Compete in 'Poetry Out Loud' Contest

Dec. 13, 2021 -- The 2021 Poetry Out Loud Poetic Recitation Contest was held in the Media Center of Cleveland Heights High School. Five high school students took turns doing dramatic readings of poems of their choice. Freshman, Samira Sisson, won first place reading her poems “I Remember, I Remember” by Thomas Hood and “Piano” by D.H. Lawrence.

GEAR UP Students Visit University of Pittsburgh

Nov. 19, 2021 -- GEAR UP 2 New Heights students visited the University of Pittsburgh to continue their exposure to accomplished, public colleges close to home. GEAR UP’s goal is to encourage students in the exploration of who they are, schools they can build connections to, and the programs of study available to them. The information students gained will serve as a foundation upon which they can base their future college searches.
