At Monticello Middle School we believe that participation in team sports is an important component of the social and emotional development of our students. We recognize the importance of athletics in developing the whole child, and believe that being part of a team is beneficial to the development of our adolescent students as they gain self-confidence, develop leadership skills, and forge new friendships.

The school's campus features outdoor fields for football, baseball, softball, track, and soccer. We have two gymnasiums for our basketball, volleyball, and wrestling programs to use for practice and competitions. The Monticello Community is extremely proud of their student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field.
