Options Global Ambassadors

Options Global Ambassadors Initiative

In an effort to develop more globally prepared students, our program has created the Options Global Ambassadors Initiative.  This initiative is designed to provide African American male students the opportunity to participate in a mind-broadening international experience that will significantly impact their lives.
We are seeking financial support that will allow our students to travel to Johannesburg, South Africa for seven days during the 2nd semester of the 2016-2017 school year. The Cleveland Heights-University Heights School City School District has solidified a partnership with The Steve Biko Foundation and Dale College Boys High School.
The trip will allow our students the opportunity to engage in a weeklong experience that will include full immersion in Dale College Boys High School. Students will also participate in panel discussions, reflective journaling and cultural site visits to the Nelson Mandela National Museum and the University of Johannesburg.
Support of this initiative will allow our students the opportunity to be global ambassadors for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights district and community.

If you are interested in contributing to this special experience, please mail a check made out to CH-UH School District, with Options Global Ambassadors in the memo line, to CH-UH Board of Education, Attn: Sue Pardee, 2155 Miramar Blvd, University Heights, OH 44118.
